Course Objective: One of the most important goals of corporate finance is to increase the shareholders wealth while maximizing profits. Feasibility studies are essentially used to analyze the profitability of a project and considered one of the major factors affecting the decision making process. The main objective of the course is to introduce the participants to practical tools and solutions by which they will be able to better build comprehensive & flexible financial models, in order to investigate the feasibility of an investment opportunity. Participants will be trained on how to build a financial model using Microsoft EXCEL, where significant topics will be highlighted including capital expenditures, financing the project, cost & sales, capital budgeting, and sensitivity analysis. In addition, new excel techniques will be illustrated to help the participants build flexible and adaptable models, taking into consideration that flexibility is vital in feasibility studies.
