Under the high patronage of H.E the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, within a few coming days, the 29th Annual International Fertilizer Conference and Exhibition is taking place under the theme   "Building Resilience to Sustainable Food Security" during the period 21-23 February 2023, in Nile Ritz Carlton, Cairo, Egypt.

Under the high patronage of H.E the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, with the attendance of a number of Egyptian Ministers. within a few coming days, the 29th Annual International Fertilizer Conference and Exhibition, with a distinguished program including a unique lineup of Arab and International Speakers who have been selected very carefully, to discuss the most trending and important topics of the Arab and international industrial landscape along with the Fertilizer Market recent updates, energy markets outlook and expectations, aims to reduce the Arab and global Food Security gap.   


With an unprecedented sponsorship and presence of all the major fertilizers manufacturing companies in the Arab Region, along with a large range of participants and visitors from various Arab and international institutions, bodies, and companies such as Egypt, United Arab of Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman, Qatar, Libya, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Burundi, Kenya, South Africa, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, Turkey, UK, and US… etc.

The preparations and setup of this year’s event will focus on increasing the efficiency of communications among all attendees and delegations so that the twenty-ninth edition would be an incubating platform for this unique gathering of cultures and nationalities, who will exchange and discuss one of the most important issues of the region and the world.

This year, the conference is taking the theme of "Building Resilience to Sustainable Food Security" considering what the whole world is witnessing, especially the fertilizer producers, out of these successive crises, starting from Covid-19, and moving to the lack of energy supplies, and finally, the global economic crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian war, which made the Arab Fertilizer Association consider holding this conference including different lectures and discussions through the conference lineup experienced speakers, from Arab, international, and African bodies and organizations as well as, the international consultants who will analyze the global fertilizer markets. This year, the conference presents different papers through the conference agenda which will be covered  among the period 21-23 February, to discuss the most important policies and legislation related to the manufacture and trade of fertilizers, highlighting the major role of the fertilizer sector in coping with these challenges, whether environmental or climate change issue  including, the prominent role of the member companies and their efforts on reducing the carbon emissions, in addition to the green Ammonia and hydrogen as  " future energy " taking the most important developments, smart solutions and modern methods in the field of plant nutrients (fertilizers), which greatly help to increase agricultural productivity, and  to fulfill the food Security gap, beside the supply and demand policies on both regional and global levels, also the fertilizer sector and the factors affecting the global market trends, and the energy markets, in addition the program will include  various discussions on the logistical issues such as shipping, marine insurance, and other relative topics.

This year the exhibition will host about 30 Arab and international companies of various specialties in the field of the fertilizer industry and their products, where the floor plan has been fully booked, including the extended spaces, which have been added to match the requests that have been received to join the 29th accompanying Exhibition, given the pending requests of the companies wishing to participate. hence, the Priority list will be checked for participation, in case of any last-minute cancelation in the exhibition list. On the other hand, the AFA is organizing a city tour in Cairo, which will be on February 20. The tour will visit areas of Cairo city, including the Citadel of Salah El-Din, and the Great pyramids.

The Arab Fertilizer Association had a different vision for this year to utilize this unique presence of wide multicultural attendees, and to introduce the Egyptian civilization through all ages. The distinguished presence would gather in a majestic festive atmosphere that matches the modern artistic influences and the ancient history of the Pharaonic civilization. gathered in a gala dinner evening at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in the Fustat district, as the first Islamic capital of Egypt.
