General Fertilizer Company
General Fertilizer Company (GFC), a subsidiary of GECI (General Establishment for Chemical Industries), is the largest chemical industrial complex in Syria serving agricultural needs. Located in Homs, GFC operates three factories: an Ammonia Urea Plant, an Ammonium Nitrate Fertilizer Plant, and a Phosphate Fertilizer Plant, producing calcium nitrate, phosphoric acid, triple superphosphate, and urea. After halting during the conflict, GFC resumed operations in mid-2017 with daily superphosphate production of 350 tons.
