Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), founded in 1949 and incorporated in 1953, is the world's sixth largest phosphate rock producer and second largest exporter, producing up to 7 million tonnes annually. JPMC operates 3 mining facilities in Jordan and a chemical manufacturing complex in Aqaba producing 350,000 tonnes/year of Phosphoric Acid, 650,000 tonnes/year of DAP, and 14,000 tonnes/year of Aluminium Fluoride. With estimated reserves of 1.47 billion tonnes, JPMC is one of the Middle East's largest phosphate fertilizers producers.
