Mishraq Sulphur National Company

Mishraq Sulphur State Company, affiliated with Iraq's Ministry of Industry and Minerals, is the only company specialized in extracting and purifying sulfur through fields in Nineveh Governorate. Iraq holds more than half of world's proven sediment sulfur reserves - Mishraq fields contain estimated 354 million tons out of global 600 million tons. The company is undergoing rehabilitation with target capacity of 1.5 million tons of refined sulfur annually.
