The Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) has officially launched its Economic Workshop, “Forecasting Fertilizer Economics in a Changing Global Landscape,” taking place from 5–7 October 2026 at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The workshop was opened by Chemist Saad Abou El Maaty, AFA Secretary General, welcoming strong participation from 13 countries and more than 25 companies, representing Arab and international fertilizer producers and industry professionals.
Over three days, leading experts from CRU, S&P Global Energy, Poten & Partners, Wood Mackenzie and TRUAGRO will address key developments shaping fertilizer economics and global markets.
Discussions will cover the N, P & K market outlook; supply, demand and prices; geopolitical and trade developments; gas and LNG markets; nitrogen economics; CBAM and carbon costs; shipping and logistics; supply-chain resilience; the Middle East fertilizer outlook; and emerging low-carbon ammonia markets.
The workshop continues through 7 October, bringing together industry leaders and market experts to exchange insights on the economic and logistical developments influencing the future of fertilizer markets, global trade and supply chains.
