The opening panel discussion of the 32nd AFA Annual International Fertilizer Conference brought together an outstanding lineup of global industry leaders and experts to explore “The New Economic Order of Nutrients.”
The session featured senior representatives from Technip Energies, MAIRE Tecnimont, Topsoe, and thyssenkrupp Uhde, with a special participation from the Director General of the Fertiliser Association of India (FAI).
Discussions focused on the major structural shifts influencing the future of the fertilizer industry, including the implications of geopolitical tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, rising feedstock costs, increasing regulatory requirements such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and the long-term commercial outlook for green ammonia through 2035.
The session provided a valuable platform for exchanging perspectives on supply security, market resilience, and the importance of strengthening regional supply chains to better adapt to an increasingly dynamic global landscape.
