During his address at the opening ceremony, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Thneibat emphasized:

“Possessing natural resources is a source of strength, owning industrial plants is an achievement, and gaining access to markets is a success. However, it is the mastery of technology that transforms strength into leadership, achievement into industrial independence, and success into a sustainable ability to compete.”

He further stressed what he considers the central message of the conference:

Scientific research, scientific research, and scientific research.

He added:

“There can be no genuine industrial advancement without a solid scientific foundation, no technological independence without long-term investment in knowledge, and no sustainable added value without innovation.”
