During the opening session of the AFA workshop held in the Tunisian capital, H.E. Fatma Thabet Chiboub – Tunisia’s Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy – emphasized the importance of supporting research and innovation within the Arab region, as well as facilitating the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and competencies among our countries to serve productive systems based on cooperation and integration. On the other hand, the Arab world contributes more than 20% of the global production of phosphate fertilizers and holds over 70% of the world’s phosphate reserves, in addition to possessing major energy resources and extensive production and processing networks.
