The Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) is organizing an event in Turkey for the first time

The Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) is organizing an event in Turkey for the first time, reflecting its new strategic approach to expand its presence globally. This initiative follows a series of workshops held over the past and current year in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany, alongside upcoming events in Turkey this October and Belgium in December.

AFA will host one of its premier specialized workshops to address current and future global fertilizer markets and logistics in Istanbul, Turkey, from October 5 to 7, 2026.

The workshop brings together a distinguished group of experts, specialists, and representatives from leading global consulting firms in market research and logistics, including CRU, S&P Global Energy, Poten & Partners, Wood Mackenzie, among others. The agenda will cover ongoing shifts in global fertilizer markets, supply and demand trends, economic forecasts, and developments in shipping and logistics. It will also highlight strategies for managing and enhancing supply chain resilience amid continuous market fluctuations. Furthermore, discussions will focus on the implications of economic, geopolitical, and trade developments, energy market volatility, and structural changes in transport and logistics on fertilizer production and trade, as well as their impact on regional and international food security.

The event targets a broad spectrum of executives and professionals within fertilizer companies and institutions, including CEOs, executive directors, and specialists in commercial affairs, marketing, sales, procurement, finance, shipping, supply chain and logistics, strategic planning, business development, plant operations, sustainability, IT/IS, investor relations, media, and top management.
