With the participation of a large number of Arab and international companies, including member companies of the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA), the specialized workshop "Catalyzing the Green Future: Sustainable Solutions for the Fertilizer Industry" officially commenced today in Germany.

The workshop was inaugurated by Chem. Saad Abu Al-Maaty, AFA Secretary General, together with Eng. Georg Anfang, Vice President, Syngas & Fuels, Business Unit Catalysts at *Clariant*.

The workshop is sponsored by Clariant, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies and a global provider of advanced catalyst technologies. With decades of expertise in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the industrial and fertilizer sectors, Clariant plays a key role in supporting the transition toward more efficient and sustainable production processes through advanced technologies that enhance operational performance, improve energy efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions.

In his opening remarks, Chem. Saad Abu Al-Maaty emphasized that the workshop serves as a specialized platform bringing together leading global companies and experts from across the fertilizer industry. He noted that it provides participants with a valuable opportunity to explore the latest technologies and advanced solutions for the nitrogen, phosphate, and potash fertilizer sectors, while showcasing recent innovations in industrial processes and discussing the key trends and developments shaping the future of the fertilizer industry across all its segments.

The three-day workshop, taking place from*20–22 July 2026*, features an outstanding lineup of distinguished speakers representing Clariant, Wood Mackenzie, Air Liquide, Technip Energies, IKR Richter Group, KBR, CASALE, Christy Catalytics, and Nickelhütte.
